Anointing of the Sick

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is provided to persons who are ill or who are in need of God’s healing mercy. The elderly, regardless of medical condition, and children who are old enough to appreciate the comforting nature of the Sacrament may be anointed. At the end of life, Anointing of the Sick, along with Penance and the Eucharist (together called Viaticum or “food for the journey,” and sometimes referred to as Last Rites) are administered to the dying person.

To arrange for Anointing of the Sick or Viaticum, please contact Fr. Ignatio Llorente or call 541-757-1988 x301. In case of emergency, call 541-758-2401.
