In the celebration of the sacraments Christ immerses us in the Paschal Mystery to make us pass from death to life, from sin to new existence in Christ.
-Pope Benedict XVI
The Neocatechumenal Way
The catechumenate is a period of preparation and spiritual formation prior to receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.
The Neocatechumenal Way is a post-baptismal catechumenate for those who have drifted away from the Church, those who have not been sufficiently evangelized and catechized, those who desire to deepen and mature their faith, and those who come from Christian denominations not in full communion with the Catholic Church.
Within the parish, the Neocatechumenate is lived in small communities.
