SPIRIT OF THE SEASON

Everything Jesus did and taught was once and for all. It was once, it was done inside history, in a particular time and a particular place. But it was meant for all. Jesus left us the Church to communicate the graces of those historical events. Through the Church the mysteries of the life of Jesus become contemporary to us. More precisely, we have access to his life through the liturgy. The action of the Holy Spirit and the liturgy prolong the historical events of the life of Jesus. The liturgy and the liturgical seasons make Jesus contemporary to us and communicate His New Life to us.
