He summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two… They anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.

Anointing of the Sick

Anointing of the Sick

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is provided to persons who are ill or who are in need of God’s healing mercy. The elderly, regardless of medical condition, and children who are old enough to appreciate the comforting nature of the Sacrament may be anointed.

At the end of life, Anointing of the Sick, along with Penance and the Eucharist (together called Viaticum or “food for the journey,” and sometimes referred to as Last Rites) are administered to the dying person.

To arrange for Anointing of the Sick or Viaticum, please contact Fr. Lucas Laborde or call the Parish Office (541-757-1988). In case of emergency, call 541-758-2401.

Eucharistic Ministry

If you or a loved one is sick, homebound or living in a care facility and unable to come to Mass, a Eucharistic Minister can visit you so you can receive Communion.
